This will bode very well for all Titanium stocks on Friday when the news is confirmed. Keep your eyes on BA, ATI, TIE, AA.

Oil Rallies - Good News For Metals Stocks, ATI, TIE, AA

Saudis to Cut Oil Output, Again

In an aggressive attempt to shore up oil prices, the WSJ reports that Saudi Arabia -- which has already dropped its oil output -- will cut production a further 158,000 barrels/day effective Feb. 1, bringing its total cuts since last summer to 1 million b/d. This is nearly double the total cuts it Oil 30 01 2007 Chartagreed to during OPEC summits, and brings its output to "around 8.5 million b/d." Saudi oil officials say more cuts are on the way, but have been careful not to pinpoint a price target. Roger Diwan, an analyst at PFC Energy, a Washington industry consultancy, says this: "They are defending prices from falling below $55 quite aggressively... The Saudis, they don't talk a lot, so look at what they do, and that will give you the whole story." Yesterday crude traded down $1.41 to $54.01/barrel when the outgoing Saudi ambassador to the U.S. said current price levels are "adequate to meet the requirements of producing and consuming countries," and dismissed speculation that Saudi Arabia was trying to drive prices down in order to hurt Iran's export revenues.

This Is Worth A Re-Post

In the meantime TIE stock is being manipulated to shake out weak shareholders. We would be a Big buyer in here on TIE!

Metals Stocks Are Leading The Pack

Alcoa added to stock list.
Alcoa Inc. (AA) was upgraded to overweight from equal weight at Morgan Stanley, which cited expectations of sustainable improvement in smelting and margin expansion in its downstream businesses. Analyst Mark Liinamaa also raised his stock price target to $40 from $30, his 2007 earnings estimate to $3.21 a share from $2.75 and his 2008 earnings forecast to $3.12 a share from $2.77.

We Would Be Strong Buyers Of TIE At These Levels

Compared to ATI, RTI, USAP, it looks like TIE is the only stock that hasn't hit new highs since January, and we would expect the strong buying to take us to much higher levels soon. Something is up and we are taking advantage of this cheap stock now. Shares at or below $30 seem very attractive as we wait for the stock to break new highs in the $48 range.

We sense that some money from ATI and RTI is rolling into undervalued TIE today.

TIE Chart. Buy or Hold until RSI is at 80 - 90 level and the MACD level is at +3 - +4.

TIE has been trading in a channel since July and should break out of the channel around $37 - $38 level.

Tech Sector Is Hit Hard Due To Intel

Despite Intel's slide, all eyes were on the action at Apple, who reported a 78% surge in sales yesterday! Truly, news for the record books! Good going guys. As far as our explanation for the drop, we feel that the unwarranted sell-off was related to some very Big Hedge Funds holding the stock down with options expiration occurring this Friday. Monday will tell a different story! But why options manipulation and the stock?? Our explanation is simple. Some very Big, and very well financed Hedge Fund(s) sold several millions of dollars of out of the money calls (ie) Jan 100, Jan 95, and/or Jan 90 calls and needed the stock to close below the strike prices to make the options expire at zero or worthless tomorrow (triple witching). Eventually these funds will have to Buy back the shares that they have sold short to get the stock down in their manipulation as we saw months ago with GM. In that case the hedge fund went BUST when the stock reversed!

Also - Paid bashers (paid by hedge fund shorts) who sit on stock message boards all day and night long and post a negative comment over every positive statement that is made so don't even waste your time there. This is much bigger business than you think. You see shorts prey on negativity and emotions and that translates into multiple millions.

Apple stock should be at $105 with these impressive numbers, so don't throw in the towel just yet. For those who want to sell, wait for the euphoria to hit on some news of either a:

2:1 Stock Split
iTV Announcement

other positive news relating to the "NEW" Apple.

Soon Apple Products Will Be Everywhere!

Set top box due out in early 2007

Breaking with Apple's tradition of not announcing unreleased products, Steve Jobs said that the company will release a wireless, set-top box for the TV called iTV. It will be approximately half the size of the Mac mini, and the iTV will feature Ethernet, 802.11g, USB ports, component video, optical audio, and HDMI ports. It will work with the Apple Remote and sport an interface much like that of Front Row.

iTV will allow music, TV shows, and movies residing on a computer to play on a television in another part of the house with what Jobs describes as instantaneous access. It is slated to ship during the first quarter of 2007 and will retail for $299.

"Apple is in your den now," says Jobs. "Apple is in your living room. Apple is in your car. Apple is in your pocket." Will Apple be in your wallet?

Also - look for exciting stuff as Macworld EXPO starts on January 8.

More Apple News

In a 10-K report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission early Friday, Apple said it recorded $84 million in noncash expenses to account for backdated stock options.

The relatively small restatement was a BIG relief to investors, but their main cause for celebration centered around Jobs, whose future had been called into question as details of the stock option irregularities have come to light.

The filed statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that took pains to exonerate Chief Executive Steve Jobs from wrongdoing in the company's handling of stock options from 1997 to 2002. A special committee appointed by Apple's board "found no misconduct by current management," the company said in a lengthy explanatory note attached to its yearend financial filing. That reiterated remarks made by Apple in October, and it was exactly what many investors and analysts wanted to hear. In early afternoon trading, Apple's shares got a 5% boost, to $84.93.

As upbeat as the tone was toward management, the documents nevertheless underscores concerns over the way Apple handled options, which were used by many companies in recent years to compensate employees, and have become the target of widespread investigation. The practice of backdating, or changing a grant date to artificially boost the value of the option, can skew results by understating compensation costs and overstating profit.

Apple said its own probe turned up "a number of grants for which grant dates were intentionally selected in order to obtain favorable exercise prices," and that Jobs was "aware or recommended the selection of some of the favorable grant dates." Jobs "did not receive or financially benefit from these grants or appreciate the accounting implications."

Al Gore, the former US Vice-President and chairman of the special board committee, and Jerome York, chairman of Apple’s audit and finance committee, said: “The board of directors is confident that the company has corrected the problems that led to the restatement and it has complete confidence in Steve Jobs and the senior management team.”

The company admitted that it had falsified records to show that a board meeting on October 19, 2001, had approved the awarding of 7.5 million stock options to Mr Jobs. In fact, no meeting took place on that day and the records were fabricated, the company said.

The market applauded the Apple report, however, and seemed to share the company’s view that Mr. Jobs had been exonerated as the shares surged more than 5 per cent by midday on Wall Street.

Delphi Stock On The Move

UPDATE 1-China's Weichai Power eyes Delphi assets - exec

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reuters U.S. Company News
08:53 a.m. 12/13/2006
By Fang Yan

SHANGHAI, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Chinese diesel engine maker Weichai Power Co. Ltd. is interested in buying assets of bankrupt U.S. auto parts maker Delphi Corp. (DPHIQ), Weichai's executive director said on Wednesday.

"We are interested in Delphi's assets as their technologies are the best in the industry," Xu Xinyu told Reuters on the sidelines of a business forum. "We might have some cross-border acquisitions next year."

A deal would give Weichai a foothold in North America, a market many Chinese auto makers and parts suppliers have been eyeing.

But any move by the Chinese company to acquire Delphi's component business could spur opposition from U.S. labour unions and politicians fearful of more job losses and the transfer of technologies to China, analysts say.

In an effort to slash costs and emerge from bankruptcy protection, Delphi, a former General Motors (GM) unit, said earlier this year that it aimed to sell or close by the end of 2007 non-core product lines.

Delphi said these could include brake and chassis systems, cockpits and instrument panels, door modules and latches, and steering and wheel bearings.

Xu did not say which assets his company is particularly interested in.

Hong Kong-listed Weichai, which competes with companies like Cummins Inc. (CMI) to supply engines to the world's second- largest auto market, had in September announced a plan to also list on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, after privatising its unit Torch Automobile Group Co. Ltd.

Titanium Stocks Are in Play - ATI, TIE, RTI

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The tight circle of U.S. titanium producers became the latest in the metals sector to catch the merger bug, as shares of Allegheny Technologies Inc. and others jumped Wednesday on word from aluminum giant Alcan Inc. that it would consider a deal.

Allegheny Technologies (ATI) shares surged as high as 8% to a new 52-week high of $89.49. Titanium Metals Corp. (TIE) jumped as much as 7.9% to $30.48. RTI International Metals Inc. (RTI) was last up 5.9% at $75.79.

Spurring the rally were early-morning remarks by the head of Montreal-based Alcan (AL), the world's second-biggest maker of primary aluminum.

In response to a question about future acquisitions, Chief Executive Richard Evans named titanium as one metals sector where Alcan would consider a purchase. The lure: Alcan already supplies aluminum to the aerospace market, one of the main buyers of titanium.

"We would be interested" in a titanium company, said Evans, adding that he was "not sure that this is the right time to be looking at that kind of acquisition."

Jetmakers are increasingly using titanium to build aircraft, as they try to cut down weight and improve fuel efficiency.

In mid-October, Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Technologies said that it had signed a $2.5 billion contract with Boeing Co. (BA) to supply the aerospace giant with titanium products over the next eight years.

An Allegheny spokesman declined to comment on Evans' remarks.

If Alcan does pursue a titanium maker, it will be reviewing a short list.

Russia's VSMPO-Avisma holds the biggest share of the milled titanium market, with a 31% stake, according to Citigroup Investment Research.

No. 2 producer Titanium Metals has an 18% stake; Allegheny holds 16% and RTI controls 7%, Citigroup says. The other major producers are based in Japan or Central Asia.

Alcan has also toyed with expanding in other metals.

"Everybody knows that we took a look at Inco and Falconbridge ," said Evans, who pointed out that he was glad his company ultimately shied away from trying to buy the Canadian firms.

Both of the nickel makers were the target of competing bids that that left their initial would-be buyers empty-handed.

Reuters U.S. Company News
4:30 p.m. 11/29/2006

NEW YORK, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Allegheny Technologies (ATI) on Wednesday said it expects strong growth in the specialty metals sector, including titanium, driven by the build-up of global infrastructure.

Allegheny Chairman and Chief Executive Pat Hassey at a Bear Stearns conference said the "infrastructure built around the world in the global economy needs specialty metals."

Hassey also said the titanium business has come back, with companies boosting titanium production.

"We can very authoritatively say that as we view this market from 2005 on to 2009, we are putting in new capacity, moving up about 84 million pounds of mill products," said Hassey.

Titanium is used by aerospace and military markets.

Shares of Allegheny gained 7 percent, or $5.81, to $88.60. Shares of Titanium Metals (TIE) gained 7.7 percent, or $2.17, to $33.42. RTI International Metals (RTI) stock climbed 5 percent, or $3.56, to $75.16 on late trading in the New York Stock Exchange.

The Market Needs A Catalyst To Move Higher

Broadwing Update

Here is what the street knows. The recent partnerships with AOL, Hutchison (HTX), and Global Crossing and the follow-on business from those relationships will be the catalyst that takes us back up to the mid to high teens for BWNG stock. The convert price on the recent fundraising debentures is $16.60. Also, Fidelity (FMR Corp), upped their stake to over 11% because in looking at the big picture, they see the high demand for greater bandwidth media services that Broadwing brings to the table on a global standpoint through its optical network and solid partnerships.

Analysts and fund managers know that BWNG is significantly undervalued, therefore we would be aggressive buyers at these levels.

Broadwing - BWNG Looking Very Bullish

Broadwing has been under fire lately, but many analysts and traders like Ralph Acampora of Knight Trading feel that the telecoms will lead the market in the coming months. We agree with this rationale and Broadwing should move up nicely with recent news regarding alliances with AOL, Hutchison Telecommunications in Hong Kong, and others.

Following the Lead from stocks like EEM, AMX and PEIX....we could very well see a 20% spike in the stock on short covering at almost any time. Short Squeeze Info
