TRIX Technical Indicator With Chart Examples

Indicators like TRIX and MACD are not perfect, but they do help in the timing of momentum moves in good stocks. TRIX oscillates around a zero (0.00) line. When it is used as an oscillator, a positive value indicates an overbought stock while a negative value below the 0.00 line indicates an oversold stock. TRIX is designed for trading trends. Trix uses a triple-smoothed moving average. This indicator will keep you in trends shorter or equal to the window period. Here are some examples.
